Puppy Preschool (ages 10 -20 weeks)

The Puppy Preschool Program was specifically designed for families with puppies between the age of 10-20 weeks who want to help their puppy start on a wonderful journey of learning about life.

The primary and most important time for puppy socialization is the first three months of life.

During this critical period of development, puppies need to be carefully and positively introduced to new people, animals, stimuli and environments without causing overstimulation, fear or negative experiences.

Because the first three months are when sociality outweighs fear, this is the primary window of opportunity to provide your puppy with new experiences that allow them to learn how to adapt to change, grow in confidence and discover the joys of life.

Improper or incomplete socialization can lead to or increase the risk of problematic behaviours developing later in life that may manifest as fear, anxiety , reactivity and/or aggression. The 'window of opportunity' for optimum socialization closes anywhere from 12  - 16 weeks.

Puppy Preschool is a course that has been carefully planned to ensure that all puppy participants have the best opportunity for a safe, positive and successful social experience.

The registration fee is $300 which includes a private consultation that must be booked prior to the class start date, access to my online Inner Circle Community for support between classes and 4 weeks of in-class instruction.

The focus of the Puppy Preschool Program is to offer sensory exploration, build confidence, introduce your puppy to learning fundamental training concepts and enhance their social skills through games, movement, play and rewards.

You will learn about the importance of emotional regulation, how to properly socialize your puppy, how to read their body language, how to effectively teach your puppy anything through games and play, prevention of problems through providing enrichment and how to influence desired behaviour responses through food and functional rewards.

And you will learn how to create daily, healthy habits for your puppy, how to help them relax, how to use play to teach skills and behaviours, how to help them build confidence, the importance of enrichment, how to play your way to a reliable recall and so much more!

Classes will be held outdoors at Basford Drive Field (Near Greely Cres) in Columbia Park and are weather dependant. In the event of unfavourable weather conditions, our class will be moved to Zoom.
